Life Story for Roseann Alice Shipley

Roseann Alice Shipley
Roseann Alice “Ronnie” Shipley, 91 of Hemet, California went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 29, 2016. She was born on August 29, 1925 in Quincy, Massachusetts and was the daughter of the late Matthew and Alice “McDonnell” Bryan and predeceased by her sister Mary Bryan. Ronnie lost the love of her life, Ian M. Shipley on Dec 11, 1968, at a very young age.
Ronnie worked in the accounting field for over 50 years in many different industries. She was even Secretary to the Chairman of the Republican Central Committee of Orange County in the early 70’s.
Her family was very important to her and she loved entertaining during the holidays and any other get-together she could think of. Being the party planner that she was, she affectionately became famous for her “Cold Cut” parties. She was extremely creative and loved to write poetry and short stories and has a short story published in the Quincy Public Library. She was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, Sage and the Red hat Society. Ronnie enjoyed Big Band music but her passion was politics and was known to say if you want to make a change,,,, “Call Your Congressman”. After her family her great passion was genealogy and she found many hidden treasures regarding the family that she loved to share.
Her family describes her as loving, strong and the Matriarch of the family. She will be lovingly missed by those who knew her and loved her. She is survived by her daughters Dotty Hase, Peggy Grant, Kathy McClurkin, son Alan Shipley, Son in law Clint McClurkin, daughter in law Grace Shipley, 11 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brother Matthew Bryan and sister in law Lillian Bryan.
