Life Story for Alyce Susan Sigala

Alyce Sigala, of Hemet, California passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018 at the age of 99.

Alyce was born on March 30, 1918 in Ray, Arizona. She graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and spent 31 years as a teacher with the Placentia School District.

In retirement, she continued to work and serve the community. She opened her own tax preparation and bookkeeping firm, and was helping clients until about 8 years ago.

In her free time, she was very social and involved with various community organizations. She loved to dance and travel the world, including several trips to Europe, Asia and Australia.

She was involved with Take Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS) organization for 50 years and had several leadership roles within the organization over the years. She eventually earned her KOPS (Keep Off Pounds Sensibly) designation for her commitment to the organization.

Surviving are son, Jerry Sigala, daughters, Bernadine Earl and Charlene Sigala, and sister, Violet Winston, grandchildren, Steven, Lindsey, Shauna, Whitney and Christopher, and great grandchildren, Hannah, Bishop, Madeline and Everly.

She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Sigala and brother, Eugene Gonzales.
