Life Story for Fermin Contreras

Fermin Contreras, 65 of Hemet, California lost his courageous battle to cancer on Friday, April 21, 2017, at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Murrieta.

Born Friday, July 27, 1951 in Torreon Coahuila, Mexico, he was the son of the late Eufemio Contreras and the late Otilia Ortiz.

Fermin was a true family man who lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed family gatherings and of course that occasional karaoke that came with it. Music and dancing with his beloved wife brought him such joy. Fermin never met a stranger and would always have a way of making one be a part of his family. His demeanor was not boisterous, yet he had a smile that would light a room and a heart of gold. Fermin will truly be missed by all knew had the privilege of knowing him.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Maria Teresa, son, Fermin Contreras (Maria), daughters, Leticia Sanchez (Armando) and Lucia Bernal (Marcial), and nine grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at McWane Family Funeral Home, 350 North San Jacinto Street, Hemet, Ca. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM on Wednesday at McWane Family Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church located at 780 S. State St. Hemet, Ca. 92543 Interment will be in San Jacinto Valley Cemetery, San Jacinto, CA. following the funeral mass.
