Manuela Serna Ybañez, 93, of San Jacinto, CA, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Ramona Manor in Hemet, CA. Born August 11, 1920 in San Ygnacio, TX; she was the daughter of the late Luis and Manuela Serna.
A loving mother and grandmother, Manuela was devoted to her family. She loved cooking and would cook a special meal for each and everyone of her grandchildren. She was known for her flour tortillas and pan de campo. Everything she cooked was amazing. Manuela was both physically and spiritually strong. She loved the Lord and was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church for over thirty years.
Preceded in passing by her husband, Alonzo Ybañez Sr., brother, Conce Serna, and grandson, Nickey Aispuro, she is survived by her children, Adolfo, Adelfina, Alicia, Adelaida, Alonzo, Elena, Sylvia, and Yolanda; twenty-three grandchildren; forty-five great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
