Life Story for Peter Shaver

Peter Shaver was born in Rolla, Missouri in 1945, the only son of 2 evangelists. Throughout most of his childhood, he traveled with his parents in a nomadic lifestyle due to their religious advocation.

Peter began his construction career as an Apprentice Ironworker, holding subsequent positions of journeyman Ironworker, certified welder, general foreman, city building inspector, and resident construction inspector.

Dr. Shaver’s commitment to continuing education has earned him several teaching credentials, both in the fields of industrial arts and vocational education, ranging from the high school level up through adult and community college. After graduating from Rio Hondo College with an A.A degree, he continued his undergraduate work at Antioch University, where he earned his B.A degree in Business Administration in 1978. Graduate Study at California State University – LA resulted in a Master of Arts degree in Vocation Education in 1980. Finally, in 1987, he culminated his education with a doctoral degree from Columbia Pacific University.

Peter had a passion for woodworking, trains, building things, designing and figuring things out and inventing things. He loved all his dogs, his collection of ducks, and a yearning for knowledge.
